What Is Blemish Removal?
Blemish removal covers a group of quick clinical procedures for benign skin lesions: skin tags, milia, cherry angiomas, seborrhoeic keratoses and similar growths. The method is chosen to suit the lesion, most often advanced electrolysis, cryotherapy or a fine cautery tip.
Most lesions are treated in a single appointment lasting under half an hour. The blemish is destroyed at its base, forms a small crust and falls away over the following one to two weeks, leaving skin that usually heals without a mark.
Assessment matters more here than in most aesthetic treatments. Your practitioner examines each lesion first, and where anything looks atypical we will refer you to your GP rather than treat it. We do not remove moles.

Benefits of Blemish Removal
A fast, precise way to remove benign lesions that catch on clothing or bother you when you look in the mirror.
Immediate, permanent removal
The treated lesion is destroyed at the base and does not return, though new ones can form elsewhere over time.
Quick, precise appointment
Several small lesions can usually be dealt with in one visit lasting under half an hour.
Assessed before it is treated
Each lesion is examined by a qualified practitioner, and anything that needs medical review is referred rather than removed.
Minimal marking
Treatment is confined to the lesion itself, so surrounding skin is left intact and healing is usually unremarkable.
Areas We Can Treat
Blemishes are treated wherever they cause irritation or self-consciousness, subject to assessment.
Face
The most common request, particularly milia around the eyes and small tags on the eyelids.
Neck
Skin tags here often catch on collars and jewellery, which is usually what prompts treatment.
Underarms
A frequent site for clusters of skin tags caused by friction.
Chest and Decolletage
Cherry angiomas and seborrhoeic keratoses are common here and respond well.
Back
Lesions you cannot see easily but that catch when dressing.
Groin and Body Folds
Skin tags form readily where skin rubs, and removal relieves ongoing irritation.
Who Is This Treatment Suitable For?
Assessment comes first. If a lesion is not clearly benign, we will not treat it and will advise you to see your GP.
Generally Suitable For
Benign skin tags, milia and cherry angiomas
Lesions that catch, snag or cause irritation
Seborrhoeic keratoses confirmed as benign
Adults wanting a quick, single-visit solution

Moles or any pigmented lesion
Lesions that have changed shape, size or colour
Anyone with a pacemaker, for electrical methods
Skin that is infected, broken or sunburnt

What to Expect
1
Lesion Assessment
Your practitioner examines each blemish, confirms it is benign and appropriate to treat, and explains which method suits it and why.
2
Preparation
The area is cleaned and numbing cream applied where needed, particularly for lesions on the face or in sensitive areas.
3
Removal
The lesion is treated at its base using the chosen method. You will feel brief heat or a sharp pinch for each one, lasting only a few seconds.
4
Healing and Review
A small crust forms and separates over one to two weeks. Your practitioner reviews the area at four weeks to check healing.
Safety, Side Effects and Aftercare
Clinical Safety
Our position on this is deliberately conservative. Practitioners here remove only lesions they can confidently identify as benign, and we refer anything else to your GP. That is why we do not offer mole removal at any price.

Potential Side Effects
Reactions are confined to the treated spots and settle as the skin heals:
Redness and a small crust at each site
Brief stinging during and after treatment
Temporary lightening or darkening as it heals

Essential Aftercare
Let the crusts fall away naturally, do not pick them
Keep the sites dry for the first 24 hours
Apply SPF 50 to healing skin to prevent marking
Avoid swimming and saunas until fully healed
